ABOUT VICK

Before running Individual Plants Nursery full time in 2023, Vick spent a decade long professional career as Ornamental Gardens Supervisor at Lismore Castle Gardens where she worked with a wide variety of plant genera in a diverse range of situations.

She was mentored by the head gardener at the time (Darren Topps) and was part of the team who helped him deliver and establish his extensive landscaping and soft planting overhaul at Lismore which began in 2013. She formalised her horticultural experience with RHS qualifications which she studied while working and continues her work as a freelance horticulturist with a small regular client list.

Her ethos is to work with clients to help them realise beautiful, sustainable plantings that are well suited to their existing garden conditions, personal aesthetic, gardening ability and budget.

She works in the Irish Republic within the areas of West Waterford & East Cork. For areas outside this please enquire.

Vick’s Services

Vick will work with you to advise on ornamental planting suitable to your site, your own garden aesthetic, budget & ongoing maintenance needs. This option is great if you want someone with hands-on experience to run your ideas past or offer you some suggestions & do some achievable “blue-sky-thinking” with.
She can also help you “see a way out” of an overgrown or derelict garden & find the hidden treasures in the process.
€150 for 2 hour consultation (€20 per hr after this)
For very small back gardens/courtyards €100
Vick can provide one-to-one coaching to work with you through your garden and show you “how to do things” to help build your confidence in maintaining your garden in a way suitable for your circumstances & garden condition. She’ll demonstrate ways to manage your garden to ensure on-going dynamic displays, seasonal interest & character & help you become a “dirt gardener” who is able to garden with skill & insight with an ecologically sound mindset.
€150 2 hrs €20 per hr after this.
€500 for four seasonal sessions of 2hrs per season (€20 per extra hr).
Following a garden consultation, If you require Vick will create a digital document around what you discussed, reminding you of advice given & recommended action & also including planting mood boards, planting techniques, basic maintenance tips & how to estimate any required plant numbers.

Following garden coaching Vick can create a digital document of a personalised month-by-month maintenance plan, including handy reminders of tips, tricks & techniques.
