Convent

This client gave me the brief of helping them “tidy up” their substantial garden which has been enthusiastically planted. They hope to create a more natural & in the long-run, more manageable garden, to include meadows, “naturalised” ornamental planting & a small potager style vegetable garden.

This is an on-going project which will happen in incremental phases due to its size & complexity. Year one saw the establishment of a meadow & thinning of an overcrowded & weedy shrub & tree border. After scarifying the meadow area substantially we left it alone for the season to see what came up naturally. It turned out to be a wonderful naturally short meadow with many native plants already present.
