Common name ‘Chaste Tree’ due to its historical herbal use in dampening the libido.. is ‘dampening’ the right word to precede ‘libido’..? anyway, it is still widely used in herbal medicine for its powerful work on hormone related problems. As well as being hugely beneficial, it is also a hugely beautiful thing! Slender grey/green palmate leaves giving rise to delightful purple shaded flower panicles in the later summer season/autumn.
A wonderful rounded aromatic shrub reaching up to 6ft. Grow in well drained sandy or loamy conditions. Hardy down to -5, full sun and sheltered.
