This is the most “cakey” plant I grow, I alwyas want to eat it when its in flower because I gives creme brûlée vibes, or some luscious pastry from a tiny patisserie in Paris with some sort of rare and delicate icing…
Anyway, I digress. The flowers on this pop out from high summer on 40-50cm stems and really punch above their weight for the sheer wonderfulness of them!
Hardy, full sun, in better drained soils. Perennial and bulking up quickly once settled. Would look stunning in among those fluffy grasses!
