Echium wildprettii 9cm

€6.50

Another one of the popular Echiums, E. wildpretii, a bit more tender than the other lad (E. pininana), but only because she won’t like sitting wet and cold. I’ve grown these in an unheated glasshouse and kept on the dry side over winter and they cope fine, so best maybe grown in roomy pot so they can be moved out during summer and brought in again once things start to get dismal. Red/pink flowering.

Grow in full sun, in open substrates and out of the wind. She is a monocarpic thing, so will die after floweroing and producing prodigious amounts of seed (save them for ongoing supplies).
