The legendary papyrus plant, reaching lofty heights of up to 4 meters, over here I’ve grown it to about 8ft, in a glasshouse, during a good hot. bright summer. This is a tender perennial, so will definitely need brining in and kept above freezing over winter. This is a great plant to have as bragging material.
Although this is a pond plant, I grow it out of water and it is pretty resilient, though obviously won’t like drying out and likes a damp bottom. Submerge pot in another pot of water to keep the marginal water feel to things, in the house over winter you can just leave it in a tray so that it can always have a bit of moisture, but it won’t need as much due to lower light levels.
Plants will arrive cut back to fit them in for posting, but they will recover!
