Persicaria virginiana var. filiformis 9cm

€5.00

Don’t be afraid of one of its common names of ‘Virginia knotweed’, this plant is completely polite and not scary in anyway, unless you’re a photographer, in which case this plant’s flowers will drive you insane trying to ‘get’ them. Anyway, classic and highly decorative ‘v’ maked splotched Persicaria leaves, plant has a more upright clumping form than some, grows up to only 40-60cms or so. numerous stems, fine and wiry are produced through late summer and early autumn which are bright red and hold diminutive red bauble flowers specked up the length. Personally I love them! Would be good as part of a pot display or at the edges of a woodland edge border.

Hardy perennial, sun/part shade, any well drained soils.
