FASCISTS’ GARDENS ARE SHIT

Well, heard a thing on the news today about how the fascist cunt-boy party (Reform) have said that if they “get in” next time round they’ll get on top of the social welfare system by forcing people to do ‘work’. Of course they trot out the usual jobs deemed utterly shit and demeaning - litter picking, street cleaning, public toilet maintenance and GARDENING! No specifics, just, “GARDENING”.. you know, cos what normal respectful human being would want to do that!? Apparently, fascists don’t like the idea of getting their hands dirty and grafting.. who knew!?

Apart from this policy driving away a large portion of their supporters, who I suspect have a fairly long record of professional unemployment, this is the usual bullshit that right-wing parties puke out to appeal to a perceived “working class” moral agenda. In their heads I’m imagining they’re slapping themselves on the back, “eh.. that’s right Nige! Get the lazy spongers wuuurkin! Make em graft in some SHIT jobs!”… eyeroll…

Apart from the obvious fact that whoever threw this particular piece of shit at the wall during a Reform “brainstorm” has no idea about the breadth, width, length and depth of knowledge needed to “GARDEN”, it’s just revealed the level of respect they have for anyone working in the perceived, “shit jobs”… ie: none. A bit like when the conservatives came up with that genius idea of getting long term unemployed people to work in the care sector, like caring was just like any other job and cleaning an adult human arse can be approached the same way as chewing gum removal, or helping people with late stage dementia feed themselves is as simple a skill as putting a new bin liner in, like care-work should no longer be approached as a vocation, merely a way of getting people off the dole working for as little money as possible… a bit like GARDENING I suppose!
